ABOUT ME- Lizzie Medina-CORIS; Esq.
Attorney at Law based in Puerto Rico, with more than eleven years of legal practice and primary practice focus in residential real estate due diligence, foreclosure, insurance litigation and notary services.
I worked as an In House Counsel for a mortgage servicer company for six years, before starting by career in the insurance industry and in the public sector, where I served as an special appointee for the Commissioner of Insurance of Puerto Rico as their Administrative Judge and Adversary Proceedings Director, just before Hurricanes Irma and María passed on the island and impacted the local insurance regulatory practices.
Afterwards, I returned to the private sector as an Underwriter Counsel for the Residential Title Insurance policies division of Popular Insurance LLC, a holding company of Banco Popular of Puerto Rico. until it came up the opportunity to work for a boutique medium size law firm as a Senior Associate for Insurers lawsuits, and served as leading counsel in lawsuits defending top title insurance company, and handling their legal claims matters. Finally, I decided in 2022 to take a major personal and proffessional challenge and I opened my own legal practice.
Active member of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Bar since 2011.
Active member of the U.S. First District Federal Circuit Bar since 2012.
Active member of the District of Columbia Bar since 2016.
Georgetown Law former alumni (2019): LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulations.
Juris Doctor graduated in 2010, from the Pontifical University of Puerto Rico, Cum Laude.

- Every legal consultation will be held in our office located in San Juan, or by Zoom or Teams meeting. No conference calls. No exceptions to this rule, due to received fraud calls and email messages.
- FIRST TIME CLIENT ENGAGEMENT WITH THE FIRM: If there is any further engagement of the firm to execute legal services, the payment of any proposed legal fees must be paid in full upon the signature of the final Engagement Letter to retain counsel. (Except in Notary Services).
- FORMER CLIENTS POLICY: A retainer deposit of the half of the proposed legal services will be due upon the signature of any new legal services proposal.
- Notary Services have to be paid in full upon the execution of the Public Deed, or at the time of the affidavit signature and oath.
